Q. May we just enter our site’s city location if we do not know our "Office Code?"
A. Yes.

Q. What charities qualify?
A. The charity must be a certified 501c3 and recognized as such by the IRS.

Q. What is 501c3?
A. The two principal classifications of 501(c)(3) organizations are as follows: a "Public Charity" (identified and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service) or a "Private Foundation" (sometimes called a non-operating foundation, receiving most of its income from investments and endowments).

Q. How do I know if my charity is 501c3 verified?
A. Google your charity name and include 501c3 in the search. You can also ask one of your contacts with the charity.

Q. Do I need to present documentation that the charity is a 501c3 charity?
A. No.

Q. What if it is a school event that is raising money?
A. Schools on all levels: colleges, public and private schools are 501C3 certified. However, ask the school prior to submitting your Event Registration form.

Q. Can it be a religious charity?
A. No, not if it has religious connotations. Some would be approved such as Salvation Army, St. Judes’ etc. as these focus on helping others through their caring and love for people in need, which is what we want to focus on with AnswerNet Cares.

Q. What are the qualifications for applying?
A. Submit your fundraising ideas on the form. Since the idea of the foundation includes two or more people participating in some kind of event and AnswerNet Cares sponsoring their involvement, you should encourage as many employees in your center as possible to participate in the “Event.” You will need to be prepared to send pictures and a detailed review for a write-up in the “BUZZ” as well as to share the “event” at the next National Meeting.

Q. Do I need to fill out all the information on the form?
A. Yes, please. If “not applicable,” put NA.

Q. Do you want my e-mail or the e-mail of the contact person of the charity?
A. Your e-mail. Both would be helpful though.

Q. Do you want our area code and telephone number or the charity’s area code and telephone number?
A. Both would be helpful. The committee will follow-up after the event.

Q. If there is a sign-up fee, do we submit check request to our accounting department, our +1 or the committee?
A. When approved, all paperwork will be forwarded to Leslie Dennis. She will make arrangements for payment of any fees and funds donated.

Q. Is there a requirement for the number of employees you want to participate?
A. At least two employees need to be participating.

Q. What if no one can participate in the event except me?
A. You still need to submit your idea on the form. The committee will review for approval.

Q. Can I turn in more than one charity per year?
A. All forms submitted will be reviewed by the committee. There is no limit on the number of forms you may submit per year.

Q. If I have any other questions, who do I ask?
A. E-mail your questions to the committee at: answernetcares@answernet.com
